Hi There! My name is Kealani. (I go by Kea most of the time hence Saltykea)

I currently live on Maui and have lived here for most of my life. I have also lived in three other Countries ( Canada, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea) and two different states (Hawaii and Missouri). I am Married to my wonderful Canadian husband Cody who I met while I was living in New Zealand.

My passion is to capture the world, culture and people around me as they are and represent them in their truest form.

I have been taking photos for about 10 years; in which I can gladly say I am a Canon girl through and through!

I have been actively shooting and working with different local businesses for the past 7 years while building my own business.

My love and heart behind photographing people is to be the kindness and encouragement I want to see in the world and capture people as they are. I want to champion people to see their beauty and their worth and to call it out.

You will always find me hyping you up before, during and after a shoot!

Kindness and encouragement is truly like water to the soul and when you speak it out you watch people glow.

I believe that everyone is created unique and different and those things should be celebrated and brought forth. As a photographer it is such a joy to celebrate you and the unique things you bring to the table and capture them.

Your photos should represent you and who you are!

All of my shoots are so different because I have a different way of storytelling every time I get behind the camera.

I am always challenging myself to learn new things, grow in my style and be myself no matter where I am and who I am with.

Some Unconventional Fun Facts:

  • My favorite movies are: Shrek 2, Step Brothers, The Descendants!
  • Manatees are my favorite animal (They are basically cute little gentle Sea Cows)
  • My favorite place to visit is Aotearoa ( New Zealand )
  • My favorite recreational thing to do is Lap Swimming! ( Don't knock it til' you try it!!)
  • My guilty pleasures in life are Specialty Coffee and Little Debbie Swiss Rolls.
